General Questions

What can I expect from an online therapy session with J&H Therapy Co.?

In our online sessions, you’ll meet with James or Heidi in a safe, confidential space to talk about what’s brought you to therapy and what’d like to work on. We’ll go at your pace, agree clear boundaries together and you’re always free to ask questions or say if something doesn’t feel right.

Is online therapy confidential and how is my privacy protected?

Yes. Your privacy and confidentiality are central to our work together, see our Privacy Policy for more information about this.

How do I know if J&H Therapy Co. is right for me?

Therapy with J&H Therapy Co. may be a good fit if you’d like a safe, non-judgmental space to talk, value clear boundaries and confidentiality, and prefer the flexibility of meeting online. In our first sessions, we’ll explore what you’re hoping for from therapy and, if another type of support seems more suitable, we’ll talk this through with you and signpost other options where possible.

How do I access Microsoft Teams for my sessions?

You don’t need to download anything – you can join your session by clicking the secure link we send you and opening it in your web browser. You’ll just need a quiet, private space, a stable internet connection and a device with a camera and microphone.

How much do sessions cost and how do I pay?

Sessions are currently priced between £80-£110. We’ll confirm the exact fee with you before you book in our Therapy Agreement, and payment is made in GBP using the secure payment details we provide in your booking information.

What should I do if I’m in crisis or need urgent help?

J&H Therapy Co. is not a crisis or risk management service. If you need urgent help or are in immediate danger, please call 999 or go to your nearest A&E.

Can I choose who I work with?

Yes, you can. James and Heidi will suggest who they feel is best suited to work with you based on your needs, but the final choice is always yours.

Can I stop the sessions at anytime?

Yes. You are free to stop sessions at any time. We encourage you, where possible, to talk this through with James or Heidi so you can think together about what you need and how to end in a way that feels as safe and supported as possible.
